Hello! I think my favorite Plaid items are the Apple Barrel Paints, Folk Art paints and Plaid’s Super Pack of paintbrushes that comes with 25 brushes. I use my paints on everything from my dollhouse to my scrapbook. I love that they are inexpensive too! I really want to try their texture paints, but I haven’t seen them in the stores here. I think they could add a cool texture to my dollhouse projects.

That seems to be the limit of what they have but I am grateful to be able not to have to drive clear to the city to get them.

I can’t imagine life without Mod Podge. It was 1988 when I thought I had found most wonderful, versatile medium in the world and felt as if I was the only one that knew! LOL…of course, now everyone knows! I have seen several projects this week with Amy’s help and of course, Paint me Plaid, that featured the extreme glitter and gallery glass, both of which I would find intriging thing to use them on. I love all of the wonderful crafts sites now available for all of us to see! Thanks!

  192. Pam Jensen on March 24, 2011 8:09 pm

I LOVE Mod Podge. I used Mod Podge to apply some wrapping paper cut outs to a wheelchair back over 10 years ago, and they still look fantastic. I even have some of the cut outs where the back folds when the chair is collapsed. This wheelchair has been outside on my balcony for the past 3 years and the weather hasn’t affected the Mod Podge at all. I don’t know of any products that could make that claim.

I’m also a decorative painter, so I’ve used the Folk Art paints for years. I have projects that I have done over 30 years ago and the colors still look just as brilliant and lovely as the day I painted them. I also really like the fact that my local WalMart carries a variety of colors. They don’t carry all of them, but they carry enough of a variety that I don’t have to run to the craft store on the other side of town if I run out of a color.

The Plaid products I would love to try are the Extreme Glitter and the Gallery Glass. I love glitter. I would love to paint some Easter eggs with my nephew this year using it and maybe some of the Dimensional paints. Who knows? You have to let your creative muse take you where ever. And when you have children creating and playing-the laughter never stops. I would love to try the Gallery Glass. I have seen demos on TV for it and it looks like so much fun, I just haven’t added it to my craft arsenal, yet.

  193. jengd on March 25, 2011 1:23 am

Not only do I use it to apply as a finish to my projects but I use to as a fixative in my projects. I just love the stuff and find I keep running out of it all the time. I love to use the cool brushes that seem to work better than sponge applicators because they don’t leave streaks. I’d love to try Gallery Glass.

To see the generosity from a company called Plaid!

A busy family life made for a creative dodge,
But I made time to experiment with Mod Podge.

    I didn’t hold back, I didn’t use restraint,
I just loved it so much, now I want to paint!

With supplies ready to go I’m looking for a class
I want to learn more about Gallery Glass.
