Rustic DIY Headboard

June 29, 2011 by Amanda Formaro

Mmmm rustic! My favorite part of this project is that the wood here isn’t actually old, it’s brand new. Dean and Shannon from aka design will tell you how they made new wood look old and give you a cost breakdown as well. Such a great project, a lovely rustic addition to any bedroom. See the reclaimed Wood Look Headboard here.

This tutorial shows you how to make a DIY Headboard, headboards are a great way to add style to a room, You can change out a headboard to change the style or decor of your room for far less money than a bed frame. Headboards can be short, tall, chunky, or slim. Pick a headboard that suits your current decor. Remember to anchor your DIY headboard firmly to the bed or wall to avoid accidents.
