15 No Sew Christmas Holiday Cushions

October 27, by Shellie Wilson. Leave a Comment

No Sew Christmas cushions or pillows are a fantastic and easy way to add a pop of color and festive spirit to your home during the holiday season. With the holiday season fast approaching, many people are already on the lookout for new and creative ways to deck their homes in holiday cheer. One of the easiest ways to achieve this is by adding some beautiful Christmas-themed cushions or pillows to your living room, bedroom, or any other space in your home. In this Christmas roundup, I am going to share some of my favorite no-sew tutorials that I have been saving for a few weeks now.

Cushions and pillows are an essential part of any home decor, and adding a festive touch to them is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. With these no-sew tutorials, you can make your own Christmas cushions or pillows without needing any sewing skills. The tutorials I have found are simple and straightforward, so anyone can follow along, regardless of their experience level.

One of the tutorials I came across features a simple, yet beautiful, Christmas cushion cover made from felt. The felt is cut into a holiday-themed shape, such as a Christmas tree, snowflake, or mistletoe, and then hot glued onto a plain cushion cover. This project is quick and easy to complete, and the results are stunning. You can make a whole set of cushions or pillows to match the theme you choose.

Some of these tutorials are for making the pillow cover or pillow sham and a couple uses a plain store-bought cushion that is then decorated, such as these basic cushion covers and these Velvet cushion covers.

Another tutorial I found is a no-sew felt cushion with a cute pom-pom trim. This project is a bit more involved, but the results are well worth it. The pom-poms give the cushion a fun and playful touch, making it perfect for a child’s room or play area.

Lastly, I came across a tutorial for a no-sew cushion cover made from a festive Christmas fabric. This project is perfect for those who love to sew, but don’t have the time or skills to do so. The tutorial walks you through the steps to make a cushion cover using an envelope back, so no sewing is required. This is a great option for anyone who wants to add a touch of holiday cheer to their home quickly and easily.

No Sew Christmas Cushions or Pillows are an excellent and easy way to add some festive flair to your home. With these tutorials, you can create your own unique holiday cushion or pillow with just a few supplies and some simple steps. So go ahead, give it a try and enjoy the holiday season!

The best glue for adding embellishments to fabric cushions is fabric glue or a hot glue.

A fabric glue is a specialized adhesive specifically designed for bonding fabric to fabric. It is washable and flexible, making it ideal for adding embellishments to cushions that will be frequently handled or washed. Some popular fabric glues include Aleene’s Tacky Fabric Glue and Beacon Fabri-Tac.

Hot glue is another option that is often used for adding embellishments to fabric cushions. It dries quickly and provides a strong bond, but it is not as flexible as fabric glue and may not hold up as well if the cushion is frequently washed. It is best used for adding smaller embellishments that won’t be subjected to much wear and tear.

It is important to test a small, inconspicuous area first to make sure the glue does not discolor or damage the fabric. Also, make sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for best results.
