20 Crafts To Make With Old Coat Hangers

December 20, 2022 by Shellie Wilson

Coat hangers are one of the most unusual crafting mediums. They can be found in households all over the world, and they are extremely cheap to purchase. However, most of us have a spare pile of coat hangers lying around, and it’s a shame to see them go to waste.

A few years ago, I made a mistake while cleaning out my hangers. I had all sizes and materials, from kids’ to adult-sized hangers, and from metal to wood. I thought it would be a good idea to throw them into a box as I changed over each garment. But now, I have a box full of tangled coat hangers. It’s like one of those impossible puzzles, with the hangers twisting and turning in every direction.

The moral of this story is simple: do not throw your coat hangers into a box when sorting them. This simple mistake can lead to a tangled mess that can take hours to untangle. Instead, consider using them for crafting projects. Recycled coat hangers can be transformed into a variety of creative and functional items. With a little imagination, you can turn these simple household items into works of art.

Crafting with coat hangers is a great way to get creative and turn something that would otherwise be thrown away into a beautiful and useful item. Whether you want to create a decorative piece for your home or a functional item like a jewelry holder, the possibilities are endless. Coat hangers are versatile material that can be bent, molded, and painted to fit your needs.

Coat hangers are an unusual crafting medium that can provide hours of creative fun. With a little bit of imagination and a lot of patience, you can turn a pile of tangled coat hangers into something beautiful and useful. So, next time you find yourself with a pile of spare coat hangers, don’t throw them away. Instead, consider using them for a crafting project. You never know what amazing creation you can come up with!
