Cement projects are trending big time with DIY-ers. It is just that right pop of modern style, yet giving you a chic and artistic look. Did you know that there are lots of cool, industrial-chic DIY projects you can make with cement? These projects are easier than you would ever think and super affordable.
Even if you are thinking that you don’t have much of a modern décor taste, look at the list of projects. There are so many variances in how to use cement that you will honestly be surprised. Having a bag of quick-set concrete is now a must-have in my crafting cupboard.
There are a few different brands out there, but my favorite quick set concrete is generally whichever is on sale, you can buy it at hardware stores or on Amazon. it is also well worth either buying a bucket to store it in or concrete that comes in a tub and not a bag. The bag is messy, especially if you intend to store some and not use it all at once.
Another great tip is buying an inexpensive bucket, 99C, and using it for mixing, then throwing it away, the bucket gets full of concrete cement, and washing it uses so much water or the concrete cement waste goes into the drain. You can also let it set and pop it off by pushing the sides of the bucket, this is great if you intend on making some more concrete up. Did I mention gloves? use gloves and a face mask for the cement dust.

Concrete has become popular with crafters and in industrial-style design because of its versatility and durability. It can be molded into various shapes and sizes, and can be finished in a number of ways to achieve different looks.
It is also a very durable material that can withstand heavy use and exposure to the elements. In addition, it is relatively inexpensive and easy to work with, which makes it a popular choice for both professional and amateur crafters. Finally, the raw, industrial look of concrete has become popular in recent years as people have embraced the “urban chic” aesthetic.
