6 Creative Ways To Display Photos

May 30, 2011 by Amanda Formaro

I am all in favor of creative and interesting ways to display favorite family photos, snapshots and formal pictures. Gone are the days of 8×10 frames with cheesy school pictures up and down the hallway. People are much more inventive these days! Here are a few ideas.

Looking for more crafts using picture frames? Check these out

Spring Picture Frame – With spring comes a fresh start and new beginnings, and what better way to celebrate than with a DIY spring picture frame? This project can be as simple or as elaborate as you’d like, from painting a wooden frame in pastel colors to adding floral embellishments or even creating a miniature spring garden within the frame. Use it to display your favorite spring photos or give it as a thoughtful gift to a friend or family member.

Quilled Paper Frame  –

Quilling is a delicate and beautiful craft that involves rolling and shaping paper strips to create intricate designs. A quilled paper frame is a unique and stunning way to showcase your favorite photos. Choose a color scheme that complements the photo and use quilled shapes and designs to create a one-of-a-kind frame that’s sure to impress.

Peacock Feather Frame The vibrant colors and unique patterns of peacock feathers make them a perfect inspiration for a DIY picture frame. Use a wooden or metal frame as your base and then attach peacock feathers in a pattern that highlights their beauty. This frame will add a touch of glamour and exoticism to any room.

Fall Button Frame  If you’re looking for a fun and easy fall-themed DIY project, try making a fall button picture frame. Choose buttons in colors that remind you of fall, such as rust, gold, and brown, and glue them to a plain wooden frame. This simple and charming project will add a touch of autumnal warmth to your home.

Seashell and Moss Frame  – For a beachy and natural touch, try making a seashell and moss picture frame. Use a hot glue gun to attach seashells and moss to a plain wooden frame, creating a textured and organic look. This project is perfect for displaying photos from a beach vacation or simply to add a coastal feel to your home.

Quilted Picture Frame  – If you love quilting, why not incorporate it into a picture frame? Use scraps of fabric and batting to create a mini quilt, then attach it to a plain wooden frame. This project allows you to show off your quilting skills while creating a unique and personalized picture frame. It’s also a great way to use up fabric scraps and create something beautiful and useful.

Photo Coasters – Protect your furniture and display your favorite photos at the same time with DIY photo coasters. Use small tiles or cork circles as your base and then attach photos to them using Mod Podge. This project is a great way to use up leftover tiles or cork and creates a functional and personal addition to your home.
Baseboard Photo Display – Looking for a unique and unexpected way to display your photos? Try using your baseboards! Use small nails or clips to attach photos to your baseboards, creating a gallery wall that’s both space-saving and eye-catching.
Ladder Photo Display – A vintage ladder makes for a charming and rustic photo display. Lean the ladder against a wall and then attach photos to the rungs using twine or ribbon. This project creates a relaxed and casual atmosphere and allows you to display multiple photos at once.
Senior Portrait Photo Display – Celebrate your senior’s achievements with a special photo display. Use a wooden board as your base and then attach photos and memorabilia using clothespins or binder clips. This project allows you to showcase your senior’s accomplishments in a personal and meaningful way.

Chicken Wire Photo Display  -For a farmhouse-inspired look, try making a chicken wire photo display.

Displaying photos is a great way to add personal touches to your home and keep your memories alive. But with the abundance of digital photos, it can be difficult to know how to display them in a creative and meaningful way. In this roundup, we’ve compiled 6 different ways to display your photos in a creative and unique way.

From repurposing everyday items to creating unique photo displays, these ideas are sure to inspire you to find new and interesting ways to showcase your memories. Whether you’re looking for ways to display family photos, vacation memories, or even your favorite Instagram shots, these ideas will help you create a beautiful and personalized display that you’ll love.

When it comes to displaying photos, it’s important to consider the layout and style of your space. For example, if you have a small room, you’ll want to find ways to make your photo display look larger and more open. If you have a larger room, you’ll want to find ways to add interest and focal points.

Another important consideration when displaying photos is to make sure that the display is easily accessible. This means that you should be able to see and enjoy your photos without having to take them down or move them around.
