Crafting with the Stars

October 24, 2010 by Amanda Formaro

On October 1st a call for crafty projects was put out by Tam at So Dang Cute. There were 244 entries and 12 contestants chosen. Those 12 were matched up with 12 craft blogging “stars” and will go through a 4 week competition by process of voting elimination. To avoid a popularity contest, the 12 contestants are not allowed to post their entries on their blogs until the voting has ended for that round, and all projects will be posted in each round anonymously on Sew Dang Cute.

I am proud and honored to say that I was chosen as one of those contestants! Each of us were matched up with a fabulous craft blogger and brainstormed a project. Then the contestants put their creative noses to the grindstone to develop a fabulous knock off to enter in the competition. This has been so much fun so far and I have had the pleasure of getting to know my “star”, Amy of Mod Podge Rocks, what a treat!

Round One’s challenge was to create a brand inspired/knock off project. All 12 projects will be open for voting Sunday and Monday, so be sure and head over to Sew Dang Cute to vote for your favorites! Nine of the twelve contestants will advance to Round Two. Good luck to everyone!
