DIY Christmas Card Holder – Farmhouse Style

November 11, 2020 by Shellie Wilson

Make a fun and festive Christmas card holder hang in your home! All you need is scrap wood, a drill, twine, and optional salt dough ornaments to make this unique wall hanging. It’s a great reusable item to display cards from friends and family throughout the holiday season.

That is assuming you are still sending and receiving old-style paper Christmas cards. Do you still send cards at Christmas time? I actually can not remember the last time I got a Christmas card. But having said that we are not big “card” people in our house, often not giving Birthday cards either.

If you don’t have access to the wood cutting tools or scrap wood, I have seen this farmhouse-style card holder made the exact same way but with branches from the garden, it gives the cardholder a really rustic finish.

Looking for more salt dough projects? check these salt dough crafts out on our sister site Craftbits.com

If you are looking for an airdrying clay as an alternative I highly recommend Das Airdrying white clay  I have been using it for over 30 years and it never fails me.
