DIY Hand Lettered American Plaque – It looks amazing

May 31, 2019 by Shellie Wilson

Did you know you could hand letter on wood with markers? Well, yes you can and I did! This rectangular plaque already had the flag shape, so measure and sketch in the star field and stripes with a ruler and pencil. Hand letter the Pledge of Allegiance, again with pencil first and then with a permanent marker. Color in the blue star field and red stripes with brush markers (or acrylic paint). Embellish with small white paper flowers. Embrace your hand lettering and display your patriotic spirit!  You can see the full tutorial here.
