Now that the Summer months have finally arrived, children everywhere will be spending the majority of their days playing outdoors and soaking in the sun.  While most kids have quite the imagination to come up with their own fun, it is still a great surprise to have fun new play area to stretch their creative thinking.  These ideas are great for a fun new space to play in, and even better that they are all DIY projects you can make yourself.  Take a look and see if any of these would appeal to your kids, and you could have a great weekend project on your to-do list.

Read the post here: DIY Kids Outdoor Playset Projects

We never really had an outdoor play area for my kids, but growing up our whole backyard was the play area. We were always building forts from spare wood, broken branches and I even remember when we were teenagers climbing up into the attic to make a fort up there. The only way you could get in is with a ladder and climbing up the bathroom shower screen to enter via the access hole above the shower.  It was basically a death trap and with no insulation up there we probably only lasted 30 mins before we began to sweat.  It was a short lived project but gee did we have fun.

Outdoor play is important ,   This kind of play boosts problem-solving skills, encourages teamwork, and gets them moving, all while they’re soaking up fresh air and sunshine. Plus, it’s a great way to burn off energy and connect with nature. So, let them loose outside and watch their imaginations take flight!
