Mandala Floor Stencils And Painting Tutorials

April 13, 2019 by Shellie Wilson

These mandala floor designs are amazing and are a great way to show off a boho or bohemian design. Don’t have a flair for painting? Don’t worry, they now make mandala stencils in varying designs and sizes.

A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. In common use, “mandala” has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.Wikipedia

Large mandala stencil

This design is from cutting edge stencils

This design is done with staining rather than paint and it freehand not a stencil.

Making your own painted floor designs is a great way to save money and to decorate your home on a budget. Make sure you draw out your design on paper first to get an idea of where you want it and how big you want it to look.

Don’t be tempted to use only white, try making your mandala with bright colors to suit your decor. You can use the same stencils to create mandala tables and wall pieces too.

I really love the stained DIY mandala floor, not only do you save money by not having to buy a stencil, but it also looks very natural and rustic too. This would be a nice style to do on a coffee table or workbench. DIY mandalas really are not that hard, just start with a circle and 1/4 out your design and repeat over and over again. Adding larger accents as you work out from the middle of the DIY Mandala design. You can layer small mandalas on your floor or create a huge single mandala that spans out right across an outdoor deck or patio.
