Papifeed Cat Feeder – Because I love My Cats But Hate Feeding them

November 26, 2024 by Shellie Wilson

One evening, I decided to surprise Luna and Whiskers with their new favorite meal. As soon as I pulled out the packet, Luna sprinted into the kitchen like she’d been training for a feline Olympics. Whiskers, not to be outdone, leapt onto the counter (a forbidden zone) and batted the pouch right out of my hand. The pouch exploded like a cat food confetti bomb, and Luna wasted no time diving in face-first. Meanwhile, Whiskers, with a look of pure betrayal, meowed at me as if to say, “How could you let her win?” Lesson learned: feeding time is a competitive sport in my house!  So this got me thinking, how to solve the problem? two bowls? two different spots for feeding?

So after some serious browsing and market research I ended up purchasing the Papifeed 7 litre cat feeder.   I am not going to lie this took the cats 2-3 days to settle into using and me a few more days. ( I am not great with technology.

Now obviously his is only for dry food and not that pouch crap. One other tip i have is to clean the storage section with hot soapy water between refills, it can get a little funky from the oils that come out of the dry food, I would almost say rancid if you don’t wash it out between refills, for us, that’s just over a week per refill. Sometimes 3 weeks, depending on how much fresh food they get.  Last week they got fresh fish so these guys aren’t living it rough.

I love that I can feed them from my phone too, so it means if I am running late at the office , I can go ahead and drop some dry food into their bowl to tide them over till I get home.
