Laundry Powder Storage Makeover

July 12, by Shellie Wilson. 2 Comments

DIY-crystal-laundry-powder-makeover-crystal

The other day it occurred to me that I spend way too much time in the laundry.  I even have my iPhone set to remind me each evening before bed to pop another load into the machine. I try and force myself into the laundry for at least 5 minutes of sorting or folding each day just to try and stay remotely on top of it all.

Then one other thing occurred to me – the laundry is the only place the children don’t follow me into. I am thinking of installing a wine cooler, massage chair and a drop down bed just so I can grab 5 minutes.

So if I am spending all this time in this room why not make it a little special – After seeing lots of different laundry organizing solutions online and Pinterest I decided to go with a crystal urn. At least this way when I eventually die from being overworked and underpaid they can pop me into the old laundry powder tub.

My only instruction for this tutorial/idea is look for a heavy glass, something that won’t topple over easily. My urn weights around 4.4 lbs (2 kgs)  (without the powder) so its not going anywhere.

What are your tips for laundries?

I love it! And you are so right – just pop me in the urn when I’m done!
