Salt dough is a favorite medium of mine. I’ve spent many years making crafts with kids and have made countless cookie sheets full of salt dough shapes. It’s fun, it’s easy, it’s inexpensive. You can easily create your own with your kids, but if you aren’t confident in your painting abilities and prefer to buy some, there’s that option too!
Kristi runs the blog Punkin Seed Productions and sells super cute items. One of her features this year for Halloween is the salt dough Halloween Mix bowl fillers you see pictured on the left. They’re so whimsical aren’t they? 🙂 You should stop by and tell her how cute they are! If you prefer to make some with your kids, you can see the tutorial for salt dough Halloween creatures, pictured on the right, at Craftown.

If you are looking for an airdrying clay as an alternative I highly recommend Das Airdrying white clay I have been using it for over 30 years and it never fails me.
